Susan E. Jones
In 1968, Susan was suspended from Cleveland High School for participating in a sit-down strike, which ultimately led Portland Public Schools to revise their dress code allowing female students to wear pants to school for the first time. She has recently imposed a dress code at the office, banning employees from wearing soccer cleats, collegiate sweatshirts, bicycle shorts, baseball caps or formal black concert dresses.
Susan K. Yoder
Now that Susan's kids are off to , she spends her time watching soccer on computer screens or on television. And, after a too-brief time with an empty nest, the house has a kid again, although this time it's a college-educated one. If you have a child who plays soccer, let Susan know. Then don't be surprised if, on a fine Saturday afternoon, she shows up on the sidelines.
Jennifer Eckhoff
Jennifer is finally going back to finish her degree.
It took her nine years to decide if she wanted to be a Linfield Wildcat or a Portland State Viking. The Wildcats won that battle, and Jennifer can't wait to see if Linfield's accounting classes will be as informative as askthegoogle.com, Accounting for Dummies or the musings of the mysterious oracle known to us only as "Gary."
Jan Fenton
When Jan isn’t riding her bike to work, she drives a
custom-painted pickup, which she never has trouble finding in a parking lot. She’s still practicing the mandolin, and, her co-workers are happy to know she’s recently joined a choir so maybe she’ll learn how to carry a tune while accompanying herself. Jan’s favorite accounting topic is fraud — how to prevent and detect it, that is!
Mandy Backen
Mandy hails from Kansas City. She really enjoys Oregon
for its mountains and hiking trails. We're pretty sure Kansas City doesn't have any mountains, so we're guessing she just says that to keep us happy. Mandy is a big Kansas City Royals fan, but we don't hold that against her. She has no plans to become a Blazermaniac any time soon, but we figure she'll be on the bandwagon one of these days.
Erin C. Jones
Erin, a Portland native, is a raw food enthusiast and
an accomplished pianist. She once made a raw apple pie that was to die for — really! Recently, she sold her oven (since she never used it) to make room for a piano. When she isn’t at work, you can find her in her garden or in her kitchen playing the piano. (Yes, we know that's a harpsichord, not a piano. We put it there to see if you knew.)
