Susan Matlack Jones & Associates offers analysis and consulting services. We provide consultations on building the chart of accounts (multi-levels), accounting systems and procedures, internal controls, and the design of financial statements and compilations.

We have assisted many clients in setting up and maintaining accounting structures, which can include cost centers by activities, grant and restricted funds tracking, project costs and indirect expense allocations.

Some of our clients do their own payables and banking. If that's how you prefer to work, we can advise you on software, help you to set it up and train you to use it.

We work with new clients to develop procedures that streamline accounting functions, emphasizing the need for efficient use of their time as well as ours.

Other services we offer include helping clients develop written accounting procedures for their manuals and attending meetings to present financial reports to boards of directors or finance committees.
